Dragon Rider is a book that was originally published in German in the year 1997. It was translated to English in the year 2004 by Anthea Bell.I have read the blob and the first chapter so far and I find that this book is actually dragging me into it. How can a human be a threat to dragons when they have this melting fire breath and these huge pointy claws and this huge body? How does a human boy get involved with this adventure if the point of all the commotion is to get away safely from the humans? Why isn't a rat named Rat going on the journey with Firedrake, a dragon, and Sorrel, a brownie? And who is Gilbert Greytail? I hope that I will know the answers to these questions as I read more.
